Cursive
"Retirement"
from Such Blinding Stars for Starving Eyes
[3.6MB mp3]

They're from Omaha, Nebraska. As the rock band known as Cursive, they released three 7 inches before their debut full length... "Such Blinding Stars For Starving Eyes", was released on crank!/ITU in 1997.

When Steve decided to go to law school, Cursive called it quits right after recording their second full length, "The Storms Of Early Summer: Semantics Of Song" (Saddle Creek). Tim moved to Portland but was back in Omaha a few months later... Matt played with Bright Eyes for a while (and still does when he's not too busy with the Cursive rock)

Summer '99... Cursive got back together...Ted Stevens from Lullaby For The Working Class is their new axman and second vocalist... Their new record "Cursive's Domestica" came out on Saddle Creek in june 2000... And they're back on the road too!!!

Check out the Cursive rock which many have described as intense, heavy, aggressive, chaotic, anthemic... you get the picture.
